I do think that what Prince says goes and given that he is the star, the producer and everything else it should be that way. However Lisa Presley said something after the death of her ex husband. She said he reminded him of her father in that both were extremely talented and that both surrounded themselves with people that would never say "no" and never express a conflicting opinion. Want drugs you don't need? Yes you can have that. Want more plastic surgery that will leave you looking like a freak? Your request is my command, done. There are people out there that think voicing a different opinion or saying "no" is hateful. There are also people who are Princes friends who also work for him and often either live with him or he helps pay for a place for them to stay. He totally butters their bread. So, are these friends going to say anything that he doesn't want to hear? Of course not. TRUE FRIENDS SPEAK THE TRUTH WHETHER POSSITIVE OR NEGATIVE. If he says Bria can really really sing, nobody is going to say anything else. The woman didn't appear on stage during the 21 Nights in London tour and she was in his life at that time. She may have stage fright, I don't know. I just think it's his fans, the ones who aren't getting any handouts from him that are speaking the truth. They have nothing to gain from lying. They don't think they are going to get any free tickets because they compliment the Elixer CD. They also don't think that they'll run into him at a Kingdom Hall and he'll say "thanks for writing all that  stuff that you do on Prince.org, I really appretiate it."

It's so bad when your nice, you have something to gain or your gullible. I found out the hard way you can't even joke not just here on the org, but not even in public. I can't say Bria can't sing, but she doesn't sound as well as the others. Prince made a 1 ablum on a set of 3 C.D's Promoting Bria Valente. Prince never hear his fans, on what they want. I wanted terribly to see the Revolution back together again. I hope it won't be cold day in hell. I hope sunny skies in heaven. But all the things we want to see from Prince and even the people around us is to be happy. But sometimes it's not our will. I think Prince had a lot of people in the past to tell him about the direction that his bussiness and career is going to take him. He just doesn't listen. I guess he see things differently. He can do greater things for other people careers. Something that the fans would like. All I'am saying is Bria was on Elixer why isn't she singing. I have nothing to gain,(a dream seeker) and some of the orgs are not,I think including you. Please Prince read what your fans have to say. Deadflow3r I hope you have some clairity on this. I don't think Bria wants to be by herself on stage. I really wonder if she has ever sang infront of a live audience by herself. I mean EVER, like at a friends wedding, a small bar etc.
The fact that she wasn't part of the 21 nights is also strange. The twins sang and a whole bunch of other people so her voice would have been muffled. It's funny that when I listen to her on 3121 it's another female singer that sings the complete sentences and she just sings the one word cooing. Given the response of the critics she would probably like to remove the CD from the face of the planet. They did not cut her any slack, that's for sure. If they stay together I wonder if she'll ever appear again even on a CD. Her cooing wasn't bad. There came a time when the risk of remaining tight in the bud was more painful than the risk it took to blossom. Anais Nin. | |

interesting thing about bria is before she joined prince's entourage, she had a semi-"music career", like singing back-up for one of Usher's albums and singing her own songs: one is called destiny and the other is baila.
It seems like bria did want to break-out as a singer, however, it remains a mystery to why she won't sing live. Someone has mention that on last saturday night, prince teased bria to come sing on stage with him 
The best possible solution is to let bria be one of the back-up singers live | |

I'AM FEMALE- I maybe view Prince little different then others. And that's funny I don't even know him. But I have been around all people rich and poor. And I love God with all my heart,Prince is no different than anybody else,his wallet is bigger.In gods eyes thats his child too. I don't agree with most of the things he does. But when A person is wrong tell them,when their right tell them. And Prince could be so lucky he ran into this website.It was made especially for him. And girl you are crazy. That is what you sign up for when you choose to take the path of an entertainer. There is not one protegee that the org agrees unanimously on. Hell, the org doesn't agree unanimously on Prince. Different folk are gonna react in different ways. Some of us more assholish than others, but that's nothing new and Prince knows this. There's no rule that if something sucks people have to be sweet and kind in expressing it for fear of hurting an artist's feelings. If she doesn't know this comes with the territory then she's in the wrong business. As far as folk joking on her with the he/she stuff...the Paisley Park show was proof that Prince himself is not above a "shim" joke. | |

Prince, Madonna and a whole bunch more took a huge amount of insults in the main press which can't be ignored as easily as Prince.org; and they took it year after year, that's fortitude for you!!!!! Stage pressence is more than half of it I think. Lots of people can sing but can't work an audience. Bria got a break few think she would have gotten with out ALOT of flurtation (at the least) with P.
