Prince on the Canal+ Television show on October 14th

We hear through our unofficial connections that Prince is slated to be on the Canal+ Television show on October 14th. This is Prince’s first appearance since that Youtube agreement I reported on a month ago. So, hmm, will we be able to see that performance in the U.S.? You know I am going to try.

I sure hope it gets put onto Lotusflower or somewhere else.
Watching him perform live is so different than listening to cds.

People reeeeeaaaaally make news out of nothing. "The first appearance since that YouTube agreement a month ago". And those two things have what to do with each other? Is anyone referring to the Montreaux gig as "his last appearance before the YouTube agreement went into effect" ???? Making something out of nothing.

Last performance on Canal+ was the "Motherless Child" performance back in 1999 if I remember correctly?
I hope the apparent upcoming show is as blistering as that one was!

I've read on the French forum that the performance will only last 4 minutes or so.

Still the French fans are going nuts trying to attend the taping of the show that is supposedly already fully booked razz

I totally agree. Great to see that Prince will be back on TV somewhere.
I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince. Simple as that

What choice does he have?
Report what you are being drip-fed and like it, or don't report it and no more goodies 4 u.
He's towing the party line. Whether that's good or bad.

Do performers on the Canal+ show usually do only one song, or are there multiple songs done?

One song in general. But when it's a star as big as Prince, it all depends of the mood of the singer... I was fortunate enough to see him performing "Endorphine machine" live on a previous Canal plus show back in 1994 and everybody thought he would do more songs, but he didn't come back...

It says something like he will perform 2 numbers from Lotusflow3R and answer the questios of the journalist Michel Denisot....He will appear in the second part of the show.....
