Nature Boy by Vanity UNRELASED MUSIC I found this on you tube. I think it was recoreded in 1989 and is a cover of a classic. I am surprised at how well Vanity sounds on this record. With some help in the recording studio that today's "singers" get, Vanity could have had a successful music career. this style of singing matched her "diva" persona better. I wonder if this song is from the album she was working on in 1988/89? That album was tentatively titled 'Cherry Bomb' and featured production by Jam and Lewis,Tony LeMans and Prince. | |

It's a shame that Vanity never recorded a third solo album.The two songs she released in 1988,"Undress" and "Faraway Eyes" (from the 'Action Jackson' movie) showed alot of promise.As a vocalist,she had improved alot.Those two songs proved that,with the right production and songwriting,she could deliver some damn good music."Under The Influence" is another example of what she's capable of.Sadly,she never got the chance to build upon the promise that she showed on those songs. | |
