The Truth's cover of DMSR.... is smokin'.
It's dead on (ok vocals are only close) and Eric Leeds gets down on it. I just grabbed it from itunes. Sorry if this has been talked about but I just played it five times in a row.

That whole CD is really good. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I'm sure I'll buy the rest of the tracks, but that was the one that I HAD to have....now. I'm listening to it again, now on headphones.

Who's singing lead? Jerry Hubbard? It doesn't sound like Paul.

I thought it was Chance Howard, but maybe it is Jerry. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

I thought it was Chance Howard, but maybe it is Jerry. Jerry gives Chance a shout out right before they do the "Jamie Starr's a thief" line. Or at least whoever is on lead if not Jerry. I've bought the rest of the tracks, and I love their version of Madhouse's 10 as well.

Actually, that whole CD is pretty tight! I was pleasantly surprised, and they're doing a lot of tracks that Prince no longer does. Dare I say that their DMSR was funkier than Prince's Musicology version. Plus, they did Erotic City AND Screams of Passion.
You can't beat this CD with a stick! Unfortunately, (or fortunately, depends on how you look at it), I enjoyed this more than Prince's live output in the past couple of years so far.
