Did Kim Basinger inspire Theives in the Temple?

If I remember correctly, I heard that her family felt Prince had her under some sort of spell and controlled her every move. Her brother was forced to practically kidnap Kim to get her away from Prince's influence.

Did I dream this story up, was it just rumor or did things between them actually go down this way?

Well from a book about Prince written by Liz Jones. Prince was undecided about recording the sound track to batman untill he discovered Kim basinger was going to be in it.To make a long story short.He only dated her for 6months. And she was soooo much into prince that basinger paid 5 million in shillings to get a quickie divorce from her husband who was a make up artist,so she could marry Prince.Basinger reportedly discovered Prince with another woman. HEr older brother told tabloids that he basicallyhad to almost kidnap his sister-basinger away from prince.

On a positive note according to Liz Jones, Basinger is heard moaning and groaning onthe Scandalous Sex Suite single, and she and Prince wrote a script that eventually lead to Graffitti Bridge movie. However Kim pulled out atthe last second.

oh thanks for that tidbit... I always thought Insatiable was written for Kim since she was in the video and all the alleged things that happened in the recording studio with the honey on the studio controls.

So it was written about Robin. Now I have to be nosy and re-read the lyrics again.
