ok. first: blunt
I'm ready now...
The funkier I be
The funkier I get, oh shit
Lickety split on the lyric
A new jack in the pulpit
Watch it deacon, your track is leakin'
What is this u're seekin'?
The syncopated rhymes are at their peak
When you jumped on my D.I.C.K.
That's the one thing that I don't play
The jock strap was 2 big 4 u anyway
U're just a simpleton
I'll bust u like a pimple, son
My star is 2 bright
Boy, I'll sink u like the ship Poseidon Adventure
U're bumpin' dentures 2 be cocksure
There must be more coming from
your mouth than manure
So with a flow and a spray, I say hey
U must become a prince before u're king anyway

(Do that, do that somebody)
(Do that, do that somebody)
It's time I get ig-nig-nig-nig-nig-nig-n-ignorant
Def be the beat that I'm rockin'
Yo so, come get a hit
And put your thinking cap on
U've been forewarned
I call upon the inner forces that I've got brewin'
In my cauldron. That means my nugget
Sometimes I'm rugged
The style I posses be havin'
The other brothers buggin' and this is 4 those who oppose
And propose 2 overexpose disclose
Pose a threat 2 my brother
Like any other man makin' a stand
I'll be damned if I let u play this hand
I'm the blackjack dealer and the cards are stacked
What do u expect 2 win when u're used to playing craps?

I am possibly the only person on the org that actually likes Tony M and the contributions he made to Prince's music, so I say go ahead. However, he and Levi Seacer Jr unsuccessfully tried to sue Prince, so I doubt that he will invite him back to sing with him.

I will admit, the 2 songs he did that ended up as b-sides for the singles New Power Generation and Money Don't Matter 2night are okay. His "contribution" to Gett Off isn't to terribly awful. And as for his raps on My "Name Is Prince" and "Jughead", well...they're "My Name Is Prince" and "Jughead". Two songs that were never really destined for any sort of greatness to begin with.

However, a whole cd of him is enough to make me want to snap the cd in half and commit sepukku with it.

My preference for Tony M probably comes from the fact that I became a Prince fan in 1992, when Tony M and the early NPG was still kickin'. The first song I ever got into was My Name is Prince, so it holds a special place in my Prince history.

eek I will never understand this hatred for Tony M. He was no Rakim or anything. But for a pop rapper he was not bad.He had a line or there. Keeping in mind Prince is iron fisted producer so whatever Tony M said. Believe me Prince had control over it. Now TC ellis can never touch a mic again and the world be a better place.
It seems that a lot of hate is place on people who worked with Prince (Larry Graham, Tony M, Levi and so on) The reality is that Prince was making what Prince wanted to. It is not like they produced him, co produced MAYBE. Do you really think Prince did not have final say so?
I have never heard this b side to 'Money Don't Matter' what is it BTW?

Call The Law. There's also a video for it on the "Prince & The NPG - Diamonds & Pearls Video Collection". It's actually a decent track featuring Tony M. and Rosie doing backing vocals. Prince just plays guitar on it.

Nope. Tony is manager at Tire Kingdom and always gives a discount on Michelin's if you come in the shop playing "My Name Is Prince" in the car.

Leave the man alone. Let him work.

For those who're wondering why there's so much hatred for Tony M., besides listening to the D&P album, you have to hear his rants...er, I mean, raps when he's live in concert. He'll scream that shit like he's the best shit in the world, and he'd be only half right. It's just SHIT!

His contributions killed the very little funk/merit there was in Prince's songs during those days. LOL!
