Glamorous Life is still my favorite beginning 2 end But Romance 1600 also showcases some maturing sounds out of the camp I really like Romance 1600, but I feel that Sheila's best album is the project that came after that - her 1987 Sheila E. album. Great collection of songs.

This album period live she really came together, the performance were serious cheorography that represented Uptown in a big way, I remember seeing her in Krush Groove the Love Bizarre performance just blew the whole movie away.
She isn't too good in the comedic or James Brownish way like on Yellow or Toy Box Which is why Glamorous Life is still my favorite from beginning 2 end. The sexiness and sensual songs really shine for Sheila: Sister Fate, Dear Michaelangelo, Love Bizarre (should have been an edit on the album) but is a hot sensual work out, I love the Merci 4 the Speed of a Mad Clown in Summer jam, Eddie M's sax work is distinct and give a nasty touch to Purple Music, Eddie's touch is sexual Eric's is sensual

The concept and art direction of the entire Romance 1600 project was brilliant. The design rivaled Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Pleasuredome that year.

Does anyone else think that Sheila looks similar to Keri Hilson? I am a fan of both. Yellow is my least fave song on Romance 1600. I like the title track and Sister Fate best.
