So do people still hate Mani? Why did you dislike her in the first place? Was it just because Prince left Mayte for her or was it because she had roots here and on other fan sites and basically stalked her way into the marital bed? Is she evil? Just misunderstood? Bonafide Ho?

^ I agree people should have been mad at Prince as well as Mani. Takes two to tango. Now I threw some haterade in her direction b/c of how Mayte got dogged. Close yo legs to married men!. However, it seems that a lot of people hated her more for her so called "stalker" status which is very interesting. I actually admire her steadfast determination to obtain the object of her affection. Not too many people can pull that off. Let's see, there's Mani, Ashton and Katie and um...I can't think of anybody else who ultimately married their celebrity crush.

I like Mayte more than Mani. But Prince is a player, he likes to juggle at least three girls at one time. Mani seemed to be at the right place at the right time. What I don't like about Mani is after she married him, she did not have kids with him, but she sued him for alimony. I feel Prince was set up and trapped. I kinda feel sorry for him. If you listen to the lyrics of Cock-eyed woman, I believe he wrote it about Mani. She was materialistic.

As far as the alimony... I think she should have got her settlement.

The wealthy "consumers" should stop plucking very young women (barely 18 sometimes younger) and occupy and overwhelm their lives until their youth and vitality is used up and then toss the older mature woman like yesterday's trash.

Just how is Mani and Mayte suppose to pay bills? Like they have careers lined up? Do you really think Prince would have tolerated these women going to college at a time that all the other young women were going to school to prepare for their futures? Do you think he woudl tolerate the time and focus needed to go to school?

So what after 10 years of being dominated by Prince... they should start college like an 18 year old? They should move back home with mom and dad and register at the community school? Work as a waitress while going to night school?

Well, if they had married Joe Blow, they would have done that, true enough.. but that doesn't make it RIGHT. And since Prince has money (the same money that he used to convince these young women that he is "The One") he should "make it right" and pay to play.

If he wants to keep his money... then don't take up and waste their time pretending to be committed forever. Leave the young girls alone so they can go to college, meet a promising young man and get married.

Look at the liner notes for the CD Come. Prince was still married to Mayte, wrote the song for her "the One" and Mayte produced and appeared in the video.

On the same CD, Prince thanked Manuella Testolini, and she appeared in a video as well (the last few seconds of video... I forget the name of the song.

So.... First wife and the subsequent second wife are on the scene at the same time. first wife exits and second wife actually gets the title of new wife.

Also there are posts from people who spent a lot of time at parties at Paisley park at the time and heard and saw things that suggested that Mani was seeing Prince while he was still married to Mayte and Mayte was left behind in Spain.

In fact shortly after the death of their child, Mani began working at Paisley Park.
