Those looking for Clare- did you help the Clare cause with some $$? Not saying you have to, but I'm sure doing an independent production means sometimes you have to lose some of the things you really want to do. That said who knows what the final will sound like....

Very Nice indeed.
Any idea when the whole album will be ready. Any track lists?

Fucking hell, it's like a Brand New Heavies B-side! And that is sooo not a good thing. Dull as dishwater.
Sorry but I like my funk to have some life to it. Sound Stylistics for instance.

Glad that they're still doing music, props to them for that. But I feel the same as this:

Not too keen on Paul's voice either (I'm hoping it's a guide vocal we're listening to), but hey, the track is pretty good. I'm pleasantly surprised. C'mon!! As much as I like their funky vibe, this excerpt only shows THEY benefited from Prince's sound... I mean this extract could have been a cut from their eponymous LP... "Goodness will guide us when love is inside of us... The Force will be with you, always"

His account is gone, so he must be on lockdown for a minute. Probably lurking though. Hey Ernest. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Having been in on their online chats I know the songs have different vibes and some much harder funk as well. As far as funk lite, no one seems to rag on Prince's funk lite which he has been doing a lot of. Just saying... To be honest it was not "Prince's" sound, it was indeed the Minneapolis sound. Prince brought it to the national and international forefront. People tend to forget that the sound grew out of that music scene.

....i assume that is your shock at suggesting Prince be produced by these guys? I've said it before (that Prince needs a producer),so it should be no shock.I think Prince doesn't hear his own stuff well without other ears. And these guys were able to look at what made that music work and build on it. Whereas I felt that Prince trying to do that failed. Which 20 years ago you never would have convinced me of. I don't say it to be mean, it just is (imo - of course).
