Those looking for Clare- did you help the Clare cause with some $$? Not saying you have to, but I'm sure doing an independent production means sometimes you have to lose some of the things you really want to do. That said who knows what the final will sound like.... |

To be honest it was not "Prince's" sound, it was indeed the Minneapolis sound. Prince brought it to the national and international forefront. People tend to forget that the sound grew out of that music scene. |

....i assume that is your shock at suggesting Prince be produced by these guys? I've said it before (that Prince needs a producer),so it should be no shock.I think Prince doesn't hear his own stuff well without other ears. And these guys were able to look at what made that music work and build on it. Whereas I felt that Prince trying to do that failed. Which 20 years ago you never would have convinced me of. I don't say it to be mean, it just is (imo - of course). |
