it sucks he never released another album after AC. i could only imagine what his take on the late80's/new jack swing sound would be like

I have a big admiration for Andre Cymone. He was the first person whom I ever interviewed in my radio career. It was during the Survivin In The 80s tour and Owen Husney called me at my Mom and Pops home. He asked if I was ready to do the interview. I told him that I wasnt ready but could be over at WNAB in about 20 minutes to do the interview. I was so nervous. 19 year old kid in commercial radio but this was one of my music idols who was going to appear on the show.

Andre called up and was gracious and so cool. Not sure if he sensed I was nervous but I guess I pulled it off. We talked about the MPLS beginnnings with the crew and Prince. Plus, we hyped up his NYC gig.

The Fellas said Andre came backstage on the Musicology tour and said he was involved in filmmaking.

I recently did a thread on his song "Book Of Love" from the 'AC' album.Love that song!! The entire 'AC' album is solid.

Wow, I never knew there were so many videos of him on YouTube.
I once heard a track by his son, who also seems to be in the music business.
