It's really refreshing to be told about an upcoming project, then to get to see the finished product. That doesn't happen much in these parts.

That's our very own HamsterHuey behind one of those.. In fact I recognize quite a few of those faces.

Oh and loved the vid, I think it's great that W&L included the peeps who buy the music in this project.
Some people are like Slinkies...

They're good for nothing but they still bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

thumbs up!

It is great that they love and appreciate their fans so much that they include them in their video.
It was nice not to have to pay $77 to view it either.

Good music is dead. That includes Prince. Wendy and Lisa. Mainstream. Underground. All the great songs you need to hear have already been written.

I don't really think anyone can come up with anything new, inventive, or meaningful anymore. The music business is basically dead, and the movie industry is releasing crap for the masses. I place Prince on that upper echelon of music artists over the years, he's right up there with all the greats. If Prince can't come up with anything too meaningful or new, I don't have much faith that anyone else can, either. As far as movies, well, Kubrick is dead, and his works got less and less important over the years. His last work, he thought was his best, but most others didn't. My other hero, Woody Allen, the popular consensus is that he's not what he used to be and is repeating himself. Prince is in that same boat, musically. What's left? A Michael Bay movie on the movie side, the equivalent of a Beyonce or Mariah Carey song. No thanks.

So W&L make a video for a track from their last album, and it marks the end of music and popular culture as we know it?

So that's what they meant by the term "power lesbians".

I like it, but all the fan clips are a bit random. Perhaps there should have been a brief, like the fans had to be doing something in particular and it could have been woven into something with some continuity or a loose storyline. Still cool though.

MC5 was a seminal Detroit band - "Kick Out the Jams" and all that.
