So let me get this st8, because she's a public figure, has allegedly posted here and some of u dont find her cd "interesting" she's undeserving of respect ? Surely there must b a better xcuse 4 ripping a person 2 shreds than that ! And who's 2 say Vanity or any1 else wouldn't have posted here if the internet were around back in the 80's ? What "artist" or person is "above" feeling a need 2 defend themselves when they're being flat out xecuted by a group of people who haven't even recorded an album (much less with Prince) @ some point in their carrers ? As 4 the critics, its their job 2 offer an opinion on the music. They're not speaking about her personally, calling her a whore and a stripper and all these other derogatory terms. Most of what I've read on various posts is purely personal and 4 what...why so neagative ?
Whether its about Bria, Prince or any1 else its just plain useless 2 b a spewer of ill sentiments. I'm not here 2 preach because God knows I've had my moments in the past. I just had 2 speak my mind. @ the end of the day we all have our views but isn't life more pleasant when we choose 2 accentuate the positive ? How many've had ur plus sign 2day.....

well, first of all u mention Bria in th e same breath as Jill Jones...er, Jill Jones can sing. There's a difference right there.

Perhaps if Bria stepped up to the mic some of us would take her more seriously as a singer. She hasn't done that.

I know I've said some terrible things about Bria, but even I am shocked by some of what gets said around her.
I guess a few people know her personally, and don't think much of her.

I don't, I just find her funny.
But really, I don't mean any harm.

I've said before I'd love her to prove me wrong. Just step up, sing, dance, do something to prove she can.
That's all it would take.

But apparently she doesn't think she's ready and Prince doesn't either. So the jokes are pretty easy, because even with studio tricks her voice didn't exactly come out 'good.'

But she doesn't deserve a lot of what she gets around here IMHO.

Question...Has the rhetoric on here towards Bria by others BEFORE this thread ever been classisfied by others as "Hate"? No? ..Yes?...The threads about Bria never been considered "hating on Bria"? Of course they have. If folks are slanging shit at somebody, please be honest enough to cop to it. No one should have to make excuses for others or explain away why they supposedly dislike someone. Based off of her talent or lack off it...She's NO different than many others on the radio today or for the past 10 years. The SAME sentiment applies here yes? If someone doesn't like an artist, be it Bria, Big Bird or Roosevelt Franklin, why project ALL of that energy towards them? To make a comment about them is one thing but to devote mounds of threads on Bria is something else.
