The Time's best album

What do you think The Time's best album was? For me it would have to be "What time is it?", gotta love that album.

I like all of them but the First one is really my favorite. Such really Cool Tunes on it. The Time as Morris Day's Band and Prince's Vehicle Rocks On in their Stacy Adams.

'What Time Is It' (1982) kills the debut album, and it is also better than the two Time albums that came after it.

Dude, "What Time is It" is the quintessential Time album. That's how I got into the Time's music even more.

will probably get slated for this, but my favourite has to be Pandemonium, mainly beacuse I love Jerk Out so much, it is one of my absolute favourite songs.

"Oh, that was so nice"

"What Time Is It" by far. The first album is OK, but "Ice Cream Castle" isn't really a Time album IMO, it's too nice!. "Pandemonium" sounds too over produced and I hate the segues. The original Prince versions of Jerk Out and Data Bank etc sound a million times better than their Pandemonium counterparts. I also agree with PurpleLove7, once Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis left in 1984, it just wasn't the same. They do a great job of producing Janet Jackson nowdays. I know they played on the Rave DVD, but are they still with the band today?

"What Time is It" in a Blow Out.IMHO Prince was in His Peak as a Producer.the first Time Album had a Couple Knock Out Jams&a Jam here&there&that it's it.the last Two Albums were just kinda there overall IMHO.Catchy Songs but you sensed with each release that Magic&Vibe had long gone bye bye.

I took the art cover of that album & made a real

in my kitchen.

I agree completely.'Pandemonium' just doesn't feel like a Time album, even though it's obvious that they put alot of effort into it.It sounds unfocused, disjointed and chaotic at times. There are some great songs ("Jerkout" is alot of fun,and "It's Your World" is funky as hell),but overall it's missing that "extra something".

And yes, once Jimmy and Terry left The Time, the magic was gone. That's one reason why the 'Ice Cream Castles' album wasn't totally satisfying.

"Pandemonium" felt like what Prince wanted too Originally Name the Album:"Corperate World".it felt like a Power Lunch as too Old Buddys doing Music&just kicking it.it felt like one big Project thrown together too also Sell "graffti Bridge"the Movie&Soundtrack as too bringing all that vibe back.also the tracks on Both Albums "Graffti Bridge"&"Pandemonium" had that been sitting around feeling too them overall IMHO.

WHAT TIME IS IT? great cover too.
I liked a lot of Pandemonium as well. I say this every Time post so here I go again, When will these guys release that album?
By the way, the group will be in Tucson on new years eve. Does anyone know if that guitar player Tori, I think, the one who released a cd is still with them?
