That's weird that neither she nor Ringo were on it before now. Maybe actors and comedians are quicker to move up the list. Anyway how can you not love Chaka!?!

I have Chaka Khan's autobiography; In it she talks about meeting Prince.
I met Prince because he tricked me, sometime in the 1970's, while I was playing in San Francisco. I was in a hotel room when my phone rang. "I didn't know you were in town!" It had been along time since I'd seen or spoken to Sly Stone. Could I come meet him at the studio he was working in? "Sure!" I'd been chilling with a friend, who cane along for the drive. When we got to the studio, we couldn't find Sly,or anybody else for that matter, until we stepped into this one little room and spied this skinny little guy with a humongous Afro. "You seen Sly?" "That was me that called you." Even back then, Prince was so very deductive. As we started talking about I don't remember what, I wasn't able to stay pissed at him for long. I found myself wishing him well on the album he was working on. That was the beginning of our friendship, Not that we got close right away but we kept in touch. Sometime later, I was with a friend who was playing Princ's album. One song caught me, "Ooh, that's a great song!" "Yeah, great song, all right,"my friend replied. He thought the whole album was great. "But it's over now,'he added. "Aw, that's a shame," I said, and never forgot about "I Feel for You.'

Love Chaka. This is definitely long deserved. It is kinda funny, when you look at the list being honored with her. I mean, she's been a legend for a long time. Her and Ringo. Oh, well, better late than never.

HOneslty tho, she should have had that a long time ago. I mean you can freaking buy the stars. They are like 200 grand plus or something. You can buy them or nominate someone to be a recipient.
