Milenia? Melina? Malinia? & Fonky Baldheads okay, sorry if this should be in another forum, but does anyone remember the group called Milinia or Melinia or something like that? They opened for Prince in kansac city, not sure which tour, and i think they sang some backing vocals on Rainbow Children, "thers a place i want to go, where the milk and honey flows..." or words to that effect
does anyone know them, heard them, know where to find them and if they have an album? also, where r the fonky or funky or whatever bald heads or bald hedz or whatever? love "passing her name" specially when Prince came on stage with them to groove a bit lastly, have a wonderful day every1 from kansas city, kansas wishing u all heaven

They were called Millennia. They opened for Prince for the launch party for NPGMC here in Chicago back in 2001. I do not believe they nor the Fonky Baldheads (also performing here that same night) have an album.

Their name: Milenia
This is their album: http://cdbaby.com/cd/milenia The text suggests that Prince had involvement in the work, but there's no evidence to support this. ALT+PLS+RTN: Pure as a pane of ice. It's a gift.

Niyoki was in Milenia also. It sounds like she could have been the one singing lead on Everywhere.

[Edited 7/16/09 23:43pm] Prince has a writing credit on "Rowdy Mac" which is why i made the mistake of buying it on Itunes. So I could have everything Prince ever wrote. I could've lived without this one. When go 2 a Prince concert or related event it's all up in the house but when log onto this site and the miasma of bitchiness is completely overwhelming!

They claimed he wrote songs for them but never really said which ones and at that time "TRC period" it could've sounded like anything and everything. However, Niyoki's MySpace bio speaks of two Prince produced tracks, now that could be true. Question is, which ones?

The Fonky Baldhead's CD was being sold at one of the Paisley Park Celebrations. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.
