She was beautiful at the time of the "Purple Rain" movie. Her looks blended and balanced with Prince's.
Whatever talent she lacked at the time of the filming, she made up in natural beauty and charm.
Why do we chisle away at people, and criticize them for what they have been blessed with? Is it a need to seek "self glorification" for our own damaged egos.
Me myself, I think Apollonia K. will always be remembered as the love interest of a fictional character in a very revolutionary musical movie, which proved to be a creative quickening for the movie industry as well as a catalyst for new and improved musical sounds in the arena of rock n' roll, funk and r&b.

I quite like her solo album. Alot better then some of Vanity's stuff. Of course its all producer driven etc.., but a good album is a good album. Her voice is cute enough aswell, as her rather limited voice just means more fancy production around it. So win win for me.

Awwww as an unknown actress, she was the pretty girl that made a memorable impact in a cool B-movie.

Why would anyone trash her. She did her job just fine.

And at 50-sumthing, I still think she's hot too!

I have no problem with Apollonia. I like her and think she's cool. She dresses a little tacky at times, but I think she's a nice person and a decent actress.

She just shouldn't play a "sexy" person. She seems too nice for that even if she does have big boobies.

To me, she'd be more suited playing something nice like a school teacher or a nurse--in a legit picture because everything after Purple Rain was b-list. (except black magic woman. I LOVE that movie)

I think she can find the right role if managed properly. She needs someone who can look beyond her rack and try to realize her acting capabilites.
