I dont recall it. Prince did an album with Mayte and people were not demanding that she sing onstage right after it was released and condemning her because she didnt. Bria's album is better than Mayte's in my opinion. Just curious about the hatred on Bria. Is it jealously for her great beauty? I am still amazed at how most women I know fall victim to this kind of envy/hatred of very beautiful women who get something easily as a result - in part - of their looks.

Hello Brofie, I think people felt that Mayte showed that she was an entertainer through her dancing skills, and you are right some people are being really mean regarding Bria. I think of it like this, a doctor, teacher, makeup artist, fireman etc... would have to show there skills at some point even often. We as fans love to see the musicians we support show there skills in live performance I'm sure if Bria did and she performed well that people would not have much to say about her.

I never felt like Mayte got the dislike that I'm seeing with Bria.
I don't like the word 'hate'...it holds such poisonous venom.
The trouble with all this is that gossip/rumours get started
and it's really not fair to Bria....some of you may have seen
her in person...I never have...but does that justify all these
threads directed at her with such malice?

Don't get me wrong...I like a little poking fun myself now
and then....but I really feel this whole Bria thing has gotten
way of hand in here...way out of hand.

I remember people dogging her because they thought she was a little 'chunky' in the early days and she got all sorts of shit about how she got where she did. There were people posting on amp who said they knew her and dished all kinds of dirt. She also got crap from some of the band members, so it wasn't all hearts & flowers for her either.
