Lisa Coleman has produced a fantastic audio memoir of the legendary Rolling Stones gig. For the first time, in the actual words of the band members who were there, you are transported back in time... to a crowd of tens of thousands out for blood, & the drama unfolds before your ears!... tune to http://luxuriamusic.com/ & enjoy Girl Bros Radio!

Was great to hear it from the guys who were there.
Wendy added in her back stage memories of the experience, too. Be sure to catch the podcast when it's out! http://elmadartista.tumblr.com/ http://twitter.com/madartista

That was AMAZING!
Dez, Matt, and Bobby all told their stories (Lisa cut them all together as a montage, back and forth between the three of them) about the infamous Rolling Stones gig. It was great to hear everyone's version, perspective, etc. And it's really never been told THAT in depth by all who were there. (Mark and Lisa kept missing each other on the phone and he didn't make the final cut of the story.) Wendy popped on at the end because she was there backstage w/ Tina Turner, eating or something, and she talked about seeing Prince run off stage, and disappear. She described the stage being littered with garbage, etc. I recorded the whole thing, which was almost a half hour of the recorded phone calls w/ the three members, then more w/ Wendy and Lisa. GREAT show over all. Lisa played a lot of old music. She also played voice mails (LIKE MINE!.....sent to a phone number she gave out) with us telling her about our first experience in listening to radio. (I was the "Candy Man" by Sammy Davis Jr story.) The podcast is going up soon, and it's worth listening to the whole thing. Lisa did such a great, inventive, creative, and just fun job on the whole show. And when Wendy sees you in the chat room and says "Hey Ernest, dude! How are ya?" out loud on the radio.....well, this boy's heart giggled a lil' bit. Okay a lot. haha Fun night. KUDOS to the girl bros.

Looks great, but can you only hear that special when you're signed-up to the site ? Because so far it's impossible to find a direct listen-link

So very cool!
And here I thought after all these years of silence from the band members, that the behind the scenes personal music history would never be adequately told. I should have known better, Prince may be crazy, but he seemed to have chosen some very cool people to play music with. I have a feeling Wendy, Lisa and everyone else involved will make sure this part of music history will be properly archived for future generations to enjoy. They all seem to be proud and have a lot of love for the work they have created together

There's one link to listen to the station in general. It's on the main page. There are different different bitstream rates and links up there, for Winamp, iTunes, Real Player, and WMP. Or you can hover over the LISTEN link in the menu navigation on top of the main page.

Okay cool, the regular stream is in my iTunes now. What exact date/time will the Revolution-special be broadcasted ? ... Or am i overlooking something ?

the Revolution band along with Sheila E Eric Leads Eddie M Cat Mico
should put together a website where they put up behind the scene stories from the Revolutions perspective, about songs tours and just the life pictures of them that we may not have seen that would be cool, only have a section where they share their appreciation for Prince and little specific memories Maybe it will melt Prince's heart but he most likely won't be able to cause any distraction in it

Do they archive these shows? Their podcast page is dead. I really gotta hear this. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

It was already broadcast last night. W&L usually put up the show in podcast form within a couple of days. When it's up, I will post a link to it. ps Keep that stream in your iTunes. It's the same URL for all shows on the site, so you can just access it straight away the next time they broadcast. I think Wendy has a show coming up in a couple of weeks too.
