Ta Mara and the Seen Hi guys - am looking for tracks by Ta Mara and the Seen - preferably all tracks from their 2 albums in the 80's. Used to have them on cassette, but now gone, so looking for them again - Ta Mara was fantastic - well overlooked during her heyday. Also looking for the Jesse Johnson produced track "Undress" for Vanity and the fantastic album by funk girl group Madame X produced by Bernadette Cooper (the female Morris DAY!!)
Any help appreciated - Ta Mara needs to be Seen again!! Don't go to the concerts in Jeans and t-shirts!! Dress to the Nines!

i would go to Ebay. However, TaMara And The Seen on CD will probably cost u a pretty penny. U'd probably have a better time finding them on vinyl. So if u still have a turntable, ur GOLDEN!!!!! Happy hunting!!!!!

Man when that first album came out, I bought it like 4 times in vinyl. I think the local record store had a bad pressing of it cause everyone of them skipped on "Everybody dance" I picked it up again on tape for $1 in the mid 90's and now have a burned copy as well

Wow, that's cool. I just picked this up at a used record store in Detroit area for .99 cents. I didn't know who it was till I seen it was produced by Jesse Johnson. Has is style all over it. Pretty good in the typical 80's style.
I seen the cd on ebay for buy it now $600.00. That's crazy for an associated artist. Keep looking in the used bins and you'll find it. "

You too ? I bought several vinyl copies, and they all warped. Since 'Everybody Dance' was the first track, it skipped a ton. Thank God for CD's. - JD

Sovembol,
Have never seen so much Tamara in my life and I'm from Mpls! Never even knew they had that much stuff out (we didn't see half of it here) or that you could find it so cheap (minus the $600 item!) anymore. Cheers! [Edited 6/4/09 9:55am]

Any help appreciated - Ta Mara needs to be Seen again!! I have both TaMara ad the Seen albums, Madame X album, and Bernadette Cooper's solo album on CD. I would seek those out if I were you. Well worth it to any serious Prince collector. [Edited 6/5/09 5:12am]
