so the story line goes as such. its 930pm we arrive..st paul ,eric leeds, jellybean and myself,( susannah) at the Cabooze nightclub in MN. crowd is ready for a night of ye/old prince music and maybe even something new but not so sure of that . the backstage room is filled the history of music and life with prince and beyond..its amazing to see everyone Bobby Z, matt fink,dez dickerson its amazing ,,missing wendy and lisa..but they are with us in spirit. i just got off the phone with them before we got there.. everyone is alive with so much spunk in them still..and we all know the musicianship is extraordinary! then the screaming begins!! all us folks are still hanging out and talking of life and love.. ok now is the time THEFAMILY2.0 must walk to the stage and bring the party to another level.. Here's where the new comes in...ahhhhh we hear something new! tonight, and yes it was US!!! we had no real rehearsal to speak of so we are all heart and soul.. i love this band ,courage and music, soul and heart...11pm and we are just beginning to turn it out..this Band ,I know is gonna make it through to the other side.. its not luck, this is the real stuff. so we played a new track called Sanctified for the folks and we all danced ..then broke into river run dry into screams of passion then nothing compares 2u and ended with high fashion and mutiny,,, you all sweatin yet? so my dear friends i will continue our deep cleansing soon... we love all the people who came and helped with the funk.. we are gonna do it again real soon.. thank you all and ill have more to add to the story soon.. susannah | |
