A personal favourite of mine is Mia Bocca by Jill Jones. It doesn't look dated or tacky like a lot of music videos from the 80's. It looks classy, not cheap. Jill is hot in this.

that vid is brilliant... Ingrid's album is one of my favorite protege CDs. It's extremely underrated, or just not well known. Her non-singer voice is sweet, and the beat-poetry suits her well. Prince's music fits the cuts very well. The Hippy Blood and Elephant Box Maxi-CDs and promos are worth getting too for the funky mixes. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Am I correct in that Prince directed Sheila's Koo Koo video? Great song - weird (but fun) video. If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

Yay! It was great to see Koo Koo again! "Because a kiss on the lips, is better than a knife in the back"...I always loved that line!
I couldn't get enough of Sugar Walls when that came out. I'd say that my favorites were Sugar Walls, Sister Fate, The Glamorous Life, Ice Cream Castles, The Screams of Passion and Pretty Mess (although Prince had nothing to do with the latter). Dance Electric would be included in there too, but don't think that Andre would be considered a protoge. [Edited 5/4/09 16:53pm]

I agree, the Ingrid Chavez CD is a pleasant surprise.I was blown away by it.The music is soothing and hypnotic and it blends perfectly with Ingrid's poetry.

Love this song but the video is funny to me.Sheena is extremely stiff and barely moves at all She needed a good choreographer.

You need to look at Sheena's history.... she's always been
a bit rhythmically challenged... could be a strict or bad ballet teacher along the way or over determination like you find in some of those prissie kids that see what they have to do but dont actually feel it... do di do di do...

Y'all gonna shoot, me but I don't care!
I like Apollonia's "Since I Fell for You". That's my song. I love a Man who:
Wears More Make Up Than Me. Wears Four Inch Stilleto Boots. Changes His Name To An Unpronouncable Symbol. Who Changes His Name Back From An Unpronouncable Symbol. Oh And Most Importantly, Who Is Sexy Little Drop Of Butterscotch

Back in the day, I thought that Love Is Contagious was the coolest video ever(well, that and Paradise by Sade), but it no longer has the same appeal to me now. I still love the song though. [Edited 5/5/09 22:34pm]

This was put together well.... I have never seen the video before. I like Sheena's version better than Chaka's. Mostly because of the backing vocals. The 'U are the beginning, middle and end' part gets me every time.

It's probably because her album 'No Sound But A Heart' was cancelled in America. It was only released in Europe,if I'm not mistaken. Her record label sent her back into the studio to record the more commercial 'Lover In Me' album.
