It's sad because a few of these ladies (Tamar) really do have talent,but in the end,they will just be remembered as "former Prince proteges".

If Prince ever comes to you and says he wants to mentor you, you'd better take it because at least you'll get your foot in the door and your name and face out there. Whoever started this thread obviously doesn't have anything or know how to get anywhere.

There is nothing wrong with expressing an opinion. Prince packaged and sold Bria Valente as an artist to the public. Therefore, we have every right to criticize.

For all his genius, Prince has not successfully nurtured the career of a single female artist.

The problem is that he always chooses his protegees superficially based on their image and then superimposes his sound on their albums while ignoring the problem of their limited vocal abilities.

He also writes standard songs for them where each woman plays the same tired role of a sexual female longing for a man to enthral and satisfy her.

Prince has not successfully nurtured the career of a single female artist.
