You are asking questions ONLY PRINCE can answer. Therefore, your entire post sounds ridiculous by YOUR point of view.I mean lets be real here, Wendy and Lisa have their OWN album out and doing the score for Heroes(and winning awards WITHOUT Princes help). They are IMHO doing better without him.

And wtf are you saying he is my ICON. Get over it and stop putting words in my mouth. I NEVER said he was MY ICON, re-read my post again. NOWHERE in that post did I say he was my ICON or even remotly close to it.I have my reasons for liking/disliking a artist. He is not my only artist I even listen to. I like variety I dont just listen to Prince and fall for every word he says ty. Maybe in YOUR world but not mine mmmkay.

You are seeing/trying to start something that IS NOT there. Be real in asking questions, not fantasize BS that I cant answer.

Nobody is starting an arguement, your paranoid sense of discussion and opinionated views are one-sided. I understand you have your liking/disliking a artist, why can't I have mine and to share my thoughts such as you did? You can SPIN this thread all you want, bottomline he just isnt as good as he once was due to alot of his decisions and control over many of his past participating musicians. I still think the world of Prince and his music but there comes a time when enough is enough and you speak up. This is my time, my opinions so please if you don't like it, don't agree....skip it, don't read it, move on and put your nipple back in your shirt and go try mothering the internet somewhere else.

Toodles,
GMAN

Who said I was trying to start a argument rolleyes Please get REAL with ur questions that Prince can answer NOT me. Im not the one being paranoid here sorry. Im being realistic and its not one sided when W&L state over and over THEIR point of view is it?? NO!

Im not mothering anything maybe YOU need to get ur panties out of a bunch and re read that interview yourself as for me I read it just fine ty. If you call mothering voicing the facts(even stated by that artist) you need to sit down calm down and relax a bit. YOUR the one trying to start a argument not me.

NEVER did I tell you you could NOT speak up..

Thanks for the laugh as well as Graycap said lol

Ok letting go, but a few questions.

Why not a Revoution Tour then without Prince?
if Prince isnt interested why not give them his blessing to do it?
I think it would be cool for them to do a mini tour of sorts.
The problem with everything that surround Prince and his 'Family' is built on his control. I dont believe Families would be too much of an issue, even current projects going on....

As much as you are telling people to 'move on' get over that ERA, well the same can be said about your ICON Prince, he needs to let it go, move on and possibly let people do as they please with the material they had major input into creating/influencing back in the 80's. Why is he so afraid? Isnt that sorta odd to you, it is to most of his loyal fans.

Prince's staying power is over in the music market, he isnt the biggest star anymore in the land of music. Thus is due to his own EGO and arrogance.

GMAN

Thanks 4 the laughs. U have no idea what u are talking about.

I have to agree with you there.

Forget a Prince and the Revolution reunion (though, I would love that), I'd simply like to see Wendy & Lisa do a full schedule of dates in multiple cities. I know they do one-off shows here and there among their busy scedule, but, I'd like to see something more concrete. Even a simple 2-month tour of club dates would be great.

I agreed about that and Lisa/Wendy really wants the tour not only in LA but all over the USA and possibly Europe. But getting funding for it is the problem here. They are trying to see if they can tour with other acts involve particularly their Edith Funker band but Erykah Badu and Questlove are busy for awhile so...

Isn't it the obvious?...Prince made it this far on his own, now currently releases an album in less then a months time its blasted in oblivion. He has no really 'staying power' in the market anymore. It is time, its been time, its about time. He more then ever needs to get the 'Revolution' back and make a few more albums before its too late.----->see the 'Eagles-Reunion', the never happened 'Beatles Reunion'...etc!

GMAN

Dude you need to let it go. I dont think this will happen why:
1.ALL the members have families (Lisa and Wendy both became parents not too long ago the others while back)
2.Prince will want to "control" the whole thing again Which in turn they often spoke of their hours long rehearsals aka being away from family.
3. They ALL have projects going of their own.
4. Im sure getting together for a few songs every now and then is ok but a WHOLE tour. NO!

Lets let this era die it was fun yes but even I DONT want a reunion tour.
[Edited 4/28/09 15:44pm]

It couldn't help but be a reunion tour as much as I'd like to see them get together. I'd LOVE to see what new stuff they could come up with!!
I'm firmly planted in denial

though if the revolution ever got back together SANS PRINCE for maybe a song or an album and/or a one-off show, that would be really cool. if prince poked his head in as a surprise, that would just be the cherry on the sundae.

Well, it did happen about five years ago - the Family Jamm gig. That was a great show. Not sure where all the fans were - the Forum in LA was probably only a third full sad

(Publicity issues I think).

The thing that show proved was that the "And The Revolution" era was as much to do with the sound that the band made as it was Prince's songs. Even without himself, the magic was all there.

(The only downer was having to try and blank out all the fans complaining between songs "Is he here? He must be here... He's in LA... He has to be here... I've heard he's in the building... I can't believe he's not here...")

Now that's one show that they should have caught on video properly. I would almost consider paying a couple of thousand dollars for THAT!

Sadly, I think the odds of anything quite like that happening again are pretty slim. But there's good NEW stuff coming from W&L, P, Family 2.0... and if some of that group of performers got together to make new music I'm sure they'd find the best in each other. OTOH if it's just a nostalgia trip you want, you can always get a video out.

I'm feeling really slow and disappointed in my own 'fan-ness' right now. Is it hard to believe that I never knew that Wendy and Lisa were gay, much less in a relationship for all those years? I guess it just never occurred or mattered to me. I guess I figured that they were close from working together all the time. I feel kind of slow right now, but the music is all that really matters anyway.
