Don't know if it's been posted before. BUT...

I obtained a copy of Janet's Rhythm Nation tour in Japan the other day. I've never seen it except in chunks here and there. As the band played out on "Rhythm Nation" at the end of the show, and everyone left the stage, I noticed something quite interesting. The lights were going crazy the band was doing a jam based on "Rhythm Nation" then something very interesting happened. I heard a synth hook that was very familiar. It sat me right up in my chair because I knew it but I could not figure it out. I played it again, and realized they were playing "Shortberry Strawcake"'s hook over "Rhythm Nation"'s bass line.

Anyone hear this before? Just an interesting nod to Prince; most people in the audience probably would NOT know what it was, but WE do.

Janet has RUINED her looks. Her nose is horrible now. She's had aot of work done since all for you.
A top surgeon looked at her on one of those shows here in the uk on bbc three; he said it's clear the work she's had done. That just confirmed what i already could see.

I don't think she's had all of that. If you look at the pics of her without makeup, you can see she hasn't had that much facial work, but I do think she's had some lipo in the mid section. Not to mention the nose and a couple of boob surgerys.

When's Janet going to put out a decent record again, it's been FOREVER. The Velvet Rope was decent in places, but it was the beginning of the end, nadda since.

i think her stuff since velvet rope has been great. all for you had alot of great songs, including the title track, and damita jo had all nite don't stop which not only was a HIGHLY underrated track, but one of her best dance tracks in years. 20 yo had alot of good stuff on it too, and i thought it was criminal the way radio poorly played rock with u and luv off of discipline. they are great dance tracks.

I, personally, can't tell if she's had that much done to her face. Now, I believe you about the eyes. I was going through some old vhs tapes last night and I ran across an interview she did on BET's "Planet Groove" in 97 when The Velvet Rope came out. She had major crows feet under her eyes. Now, I don't know if she was tired or not, but even the makeup wasn't covering them up.

I also had her 1997 Oprah performance and interview on the same tape. She didn't ahve any bags or crows feet there. Then again, Oprah's show is not the same as other shows. She has lighting that will flatter her bags and crows feet and they may have helped Janet out.

And as far as P tapping Janet, he was a lil' mo' interested in tapping LaToya (at least in 84) and trying to scare the shit out of Michael. Giving him a present which consisted of a little box of leaves, broken twigs and a cassette tape with a bunch of backwards recorded chants and shit recorded by P.

It was written that it happened in the book on Michael called " The Magic and the Madness". It spoke about how some of Michael's people told him that P was trying to put a spell or a hex on Michael. He played the tape for people and it freaked them out. They told him to get rid of it but ole' Mike said that Prince didn't scare him. Now if that's all true, who knows except for Prince, Michael, LaToya and the people who Michael showed the "gift" to.
