Martika's Kitchen

I was wondering what people thought of this album. I was considering getting it because I really really like Love...Thy Will Be Done, but how good are the rest of the songs? Did Prince do the whole album or just a few tracks?

Just 4 tracks, martika's kitchen, Love thy will be done. spirit and Don't say you love me. the album's ok, if you see it cheap enough it's worth it for the p tracks.

I remember buying it for the Prince tracks, mainly Love...Thy Will Be Done.

Back then the album wasn't too bad, but then haven't listened to it for years... rolleyes

I never liked her, but for a collector, it's part of it all. I still like Prince and Sonny's versions of "Love...Thy Will B Done".

Its also worth hunting down a cheap copy of the Martika's Kitchen CDSingle or 12" - has a Prince remix of 'Love Thy Will Be Done' on it! And as a special bonus a dub mix of Martika's Kitchen with a exclusive Tony M rap - what's not to like !!!! wink

From memory one of the songs on the album has very similar lyrics to open book but Prince doesn't receive a credit so I guess the lyrics to open Book were Martika's.
