Haven't heard the cd yet. I like her, she's pretty and cool, and she's not 18 or 20 which i think is better for Prince...

I think for the nineties Mayte was perfect. She was something like a medium for Prince, plus i think they were really in love. The death of the baby was the decisively fact/tragedy why it came to an end.

Who doesn't like Bria? I think she's okay. . I won't believe she and Prince go together till I hear one of them say it!

Because...she happends to be another beautiful woman (model even) that catches Prince's interest and therefore gets the chance to make a CD that gets released together with his own CD:s, so everyone that loves Prince will listen to it. Without having to struggle like most other artists, Prince writes the songs, makes the music - it doesn't even matter her voice isn't pretty strong or any special, the production made by Prince is professional enough. Because...it proves that looks comes way before talent. Because...it's just not FAIR! She's pretty, got big boobies, she lets Prince pull her hair. If that's what it takes to make an artist of today, it sure sucks big time!!

Still, if they're a couple I wish them the very best. I do belive in their relation, it seems very deep and special indeed...

That's just childish jealousy. If he wants to give her a chance, fine. But you know those females never last long. Plus I've never noticed ANY chemistry between them like he use to have with others. You can always tell when Prince is in love.

her album is really a prince album with her as the featured vocalist. i don't like or dislike her voice. she does i guess the very minimum of what a vocalist should do: communicate the lyrics. it's inoffensive to me. how can i draw an opinion from that?

no performances so far. no interviews. no sense of her having a presence in the world at all other than those vocal tracks on that album. what's to like? what's not to like?

true true...she is just the puppet and prince is the strings in a way but she has potential...so i give her a chance she will eventually get popular and into the media

Her album really shows Prince's writing. And for all the people who say his slow jam baby making skills are at fault this whole entire album is that backup. if Prince sung these tunes himself I dont think people would be saying shit

She's not bad, I like the CD, but as Langebleu also mentioned, we haven't seen her perform yet.

Where's the marketing of her? Prince did 3 gigs on Leno. He's putting out two albums, he's the lead man, but her music is on the third disc, so they should've marketed her more. Common sense

I like Bria, I also thought I would mention that Mr. Hayes was also involved in this venture and deserves recognition himself. As far as Bria, I like here sound
and here alot of different influences there. I heard some say Amrel or Chante' Moore....agree. I have to also say she has a package thus far, eventhough looks doesn't play into my equation of what = a singer. I look forward to see her perform, however who said she had to?

To be honest if her CD had not been packaged with Prince; I would not have purchased it. Its OK not great, but it gets hold of you. Does anyone feel as though she is being measured by the other women in his life whom he had produced? If so, that not a fair way to assess her talents or lack of talent.

perhaps he should just offer the music on his new website instead of including it in his new release

i kinda feel sorry for her really - i mean the reviews have been horrible and she said she did not even know he was gonna release it

so in a way it is kinda like she is being forced on us
