I remember reading Paul Peterson saying the Prince wanted to go after that Duran Duran money when he was putting the Family together. I think he was modeling them after those singers and aiming their projects at their lucrative markets. The similarities are there. I think he pulled off both ratrher well. I love Sade and hate Beyonce so I aam partial to Elixer but both are good. Milk & Honey is as good as anything Beyonce has done in my opinion.
