Mazarati CD Legitamacy I was planning on ordering the Mazarati cd online but I read about people having problems with fraudulent copies.

You can usually tell the fake junk on eBay because the dics are dressed up with picture labels and they usually included rare Bsides from 45's and 12" mixes. | |

Any of the ones on eBay are fake. I've never seen the 1st album (japanese edition) bootlegged on CD...Mazarati 2 has been booted. Beware. | |

The official cd fom Japan. Housequake.com used to have a very good FAQ-section with pix from most of the boots and other detailed photos of how to recognise a fake. | |

There are also about eight more unreleased studio tracks with titles like "Little Mazarati" and covers of Rolling Stones/Beatles songs, as well as an unreleased proposed single mix of "Words" from "Mazarati II", in addition to a soundboard rehearsal for a gig. | |

This is Prince proteges in action after the 80's it was done The represented UPTOWN Sheila E represent Prince in her Parade suit and ruffled shirt(of course the white heels) and Mazarati had the Minneapolis funk, I miss when bands and groups had a look and style... Paisley & hair to go with it There was another one that they Sheila got on the drums and they did Love Bizaree, Head and another song Under the Cherry Moon aftershow:

I have a copy which i bought off ebay for too much money as when it came it was a copy, the best copy i have ever seen, but it had the 'bonus' tracks, still at least i have it on cd. I also bought Appolonia 6 on cd, again for too much money which also turned out to be a really good copy, what gave both away was it had no liner notes or WB logos.

How are the bonus tracks ? I might look into getting it IF they are the tracks from the first album era and not the Saga of a man track:-( | |

"Don't Leave Me Baby" on "Mazarati 2" is a slightly remixed version of the "100 MPH" single B-side version. Quite how Motown got away with doing this without licensing the recording from Paisley Park is beyond me. | |
