I'm sorry but Mayte was awesome. Along with Cat, they both kicked up the energy in the live shows with a lot of personality and swagger.

Mayte did a lot for me during all those Glam Slam shows and the shows I saw in NYC... • Did you first think Prince was gay? •
Wendy: He’s a girl, for sure, but he’s not gay. He looked at me like a gay woman would look at another woman. Lisa: Totally. He’s like a fancy lesbian.

I really dig the harmonica player. How many modern performers add harp to their music? Freddy Yonett can stay. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

No comment. LOL I was recently watching a Parade show and Prince is introducing the band and such and he says Wally Brooks and Greg Safford, and then says something like "no one will notice anyway". I thought that was funny. I'm glad they weren't around for the Lovesexy tour. TRUE BLUE

I didn't care for Wally & Brooks much for Parade but I think they worked 4 SOTT Prince was working in the whole "Hard Knock Life Thing" Madhouse was another side of that. There is even a video/film out that focused around W & B and Madhouse with the SOTT band like on the SOTT stage there was the 'ghettoes 2 the left of use...' he was working something out of that, I think we would have saw more if he continued with the Black Album

Brofie said: The pretty DJ chick and the harmonica geek are so annoying and not needed. No real band playing real music needs a DJ. And and just realized why I didnt enjoyed that first Leno performance as much as I should have - that harp buster. I havent seen more questionable additions to the floor show since the Game Boyz in the 90s. At least their dance routines began to grow on me.
[Edited 3/31/09 18:33pm] Also - that first performance was just lame imo. So was the last one. I only like the Dreamer performance..and not because it was rock, it was just the strongest and most interesting performance. The harmonica was just fine. Probably the most interesting part of the arrangement.

he/she just doesn't like them. Prince paying them is irrelevant Exactly - thanks for making sense
