from the 5 second clip on lotus, it doesn't sound half bad. Almost sounds like Clare Fischer is on this one (prob not but sounds like it). I know 5 seconds is nothing to judge something but except for "Never be another...' I think the albums will be decent (based on all samples).

'never be another...' is Undisputed -lite (and Undisputed was lite to begin with). He can try all he wants to make another Acknowledge Me type bravado but he hasn't come anywhere close to that funk in 15 years.

the clip of the bria song on the video preview reminded me a bit of bebel gilberto, only of course without the distinctive silky/heavenly voice of bebel. still, bria's voice isn't bad. she sounds kind of limited and generic, but it sounds like she can do the job with the material she's being given to sing.

I kinda like the Bria songs so far...I mean, they were written by Prince and it´s interesting to hear what he can come up with in the lyrics department when he writes more "normal" lyrics for other people .A lot of his own stuff is a bit too heavy or cryptic these days ( TRC, Digital Garden, JW related stuff, or bragging about diminutive Spanish servants and watching Chocolat on the big screen).
But more down to earth lyrics about love ? Could be interesting and light and breezy, like some of those nice songs he wrote for Nona Gaye in the early 90s ( A 1000 Hugs and Kisses was a great song, and even some of the songs for Mayte were really good, just marred by Mayte´s lack of a strong voice...Ain´t No Place Like U, In Your Gracious Name, However Much U Want etc.)
I´m curious about Bria´s album . Could be a big surprise to most of us.

Okay,just saw it. For a Prince protege and in light of the videos he's had with Tamar (Fury anyone)? Its actually ok. Boring, but she looks pretty. The song is boring and her vocals are too.

In the real world, this video sucks and its y. In Prince world its nice and classy!
