The book is absoulutley beautiful...worth the read.

I've read the first half.. so I can't really comment yet, but I'm enjoying her story

And if anyone's wondering, nowhere does she mention Prince.. I think she only refered Once to having a brother 2 years older then her, but never mentions him by name or have any stories involving him.
I do have to take a break, but will finish reading the book tomorrow.

I wonder how many times she and big bro Prince road around in this.. just little 1's - this is a Great collector's item 4 any1!!

Tyka's book is really interesting. I am Surprised at what I have read so far. I didn't realize she and her family must have had to deal with RACISM cause it was the 60's. Living in Brooklyn I never had that Bad Karma thing and all my friends were Black or Overweight. The school didn't say we couldn't mix and be friends. We all were.

I just started reading her book and can't seem to put it down. Parts of her story already made me cry. She seemed to have such a sad and lonely childhood.
I wonder why she doesn't share any stories about her and her brother Prince.
Makes me think that their relationship is nonexisting.
While she seemed to struggle throughout her life, he made it big.
I wonder if he ever thinks about his sister or helps her when she needs help.
With all his fame and fortune you would think he could make his sister's life easier, no matter what kind of mistakes she made in the past.
We all make mistakes and blood is thicker than water, they say.
I hope he didn't turn his back on her.

i don't know if you're aware but in 2004 he did put her in a rehab facility where she began to turn her life around and she did thank him in a newspaper article around that year. In a radio interview last year she did say that the particular facility had spiritual aspect to it which really helped alot (anyone feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but I'm almost sure that's what she said) i'm not saying its the only reason she got better, but it was a start and ofcourse she had to pull herself through the rest. I think its awesome how well she's doing.

Her book is so disturbing, I can't believe it. I would always ask my family for help. She was so upset and taking drugs and Suicidal and nobody was there to talk to her. Her Mom Seemed way Cold and her Father Non-Existent. I wish I was her friend for damn sure. Plus she felt issues with her weight and nobody told her to eat better food. I mean she needed Friends who went to the Gym and Thought Positive with Life. It seemed like she only got involved with the Negative.

I mean trying to KILL YOURSELF! And NOT GETTING HELP! WHY HURT YOURSELF? I Would NEVER! Nor Would PRINCE! You SHOULD HAVE USED HIS NAME for a RECORD DEAL. You should have let him HELP YOU and if he WOULDN'T EXPOSE him as a PIECE OF SHIT!
