Lynn Snowden Pickett, who was once Vanity's roommate while they modeled together in Japan, apparently became a writer She has her own website and in one section, she gives links to some of her articles that were never published for one reason or another. I just found this interesting article she wrote in 1990 that was intended to be in an issue of Vanity Fair. In it, she discusses the phenomenon of "Prince and his women". Vanity, Apollonia, Jill Jones, Robin Power, Ingrid Chavez, Cat Glover and even Kim Basinger are all mentioned.

Wow! Kinda' sad how Prince was not very mature and kind of cold back in the day. I found it cruel when Powers admitted "Prince doesn't hold grudges, he just eliminates you from his life." So what this tells me is that he's got the cruel ability to love you, give his women a taste of fame, and then once you serve his purposes, he gets bored with you, then you are discarded.

Now, I know this was back in the day and I"m sure looking back, he know's a lot of the stuff that he did was not cool.

These are things we kind of knew about Prince anyway.

I wonder how many people would have viewed Prince differently had this article actually been published in 1990.

The article still rings true to this day with Prince. Look all the women and associates he deal with and only a few of them still keep in contact with them.

Prince do hold grudes for eternity on people especially the ones who he felt that did him wrong or had challenge his authority he had or he just bored with. I was talking about this with another poster about this, one example is, when Prince refused to allow Paul and Susannah use the Family name. And he haven't spoken to Paul since 1985 when Paul walked out. He barely speaks to Andre and also Dez as well. Pretty much the only people that I can think of that he still maintain relationship from the past I believe are Sheila, Wendy, and Lisa and I think Eric Leeds and Candy the bass player.
