I know this was brought up recently but I had to make a new topic with my own headline to give ya'll a heads up about Vanity. Tomorrow at 12 PM the SCI-FI Channel will be having a Friday the 13th The Series marathon in which they will play the classic Vanity episode "Mesmer's Bauble". This is the first time I have seen this particular espisode air since it's original air date in 1989. They borught this series back on 2 years ago when the Chiller Channel first premered and they have NEVER aired this episode and I know I check the episode summary daily . I was beginning to think either Vanity or Prince had bought the rights to this episode and destroyed it!!

I was 10 y/o when I first seen this episode and being the scary movie fan that I am, I recorded it. Honestly even now I couldn't tell you why, I didn't even know who Vanity was . But I recorded a lot of stuff on lots of VHS tapes. I am so glad I hung onto this as I found it a few years ago and watched it for the 2nd time. And the thing that I remembered the most was of that famous Prince Purple Rain poster on that front door of the record store where stalker geek boy worked. I loved Prince then but hadn't seen PR at that time but boy did that poster stick out in my mind. I guess it made a lasting impression ! Vanity showcases her singing and beauty in this with "Nature Boy" and "Undress Me". The twist at the end is GREAT !!! I got my VCR tape ready and I am def. taping it again and I suggest everyone to watch it and tape it too as this is a true RARE gem and unfortunately they will probably not ever re-air this one again! Also this series is based in Canada and I guess that's another reason they got Vanity to star in it as the singer Angelica. I wrote about this last year and here is my orginal post:

This song always stayed with me upon first hearing it, at 10 I didn't know this Nature Boy song was a remake or even who the gorgeous sex kitten was signing it. All I know was that this was one show I wouldn't never tape over! And look at all the great pics of Vanity in this. And I think the black lace dress shse wears in this, I've seen her wear before, in other pics or an interview perhaps? Anyways, sorry this is a re-post. It's on now...I remember this episode. Funny... In real life she was into the House Of Antiquarius and used to carry good luck charms remember from Joan Rivers Late Show? Here is the Classic case of a STALKER.... SCARY for Sure.
