Tyler Collins worked with Prince?

I was just watching one of her videos on Youtube and decided to research her background. I came across this on Answers.com

"Her work with Prince lead to a solo recording contract at Warner Bros. Records. Though a full length release never materialized, the deal did yield Collins' recording of the Top 20 Adult Contemporary song "Thanks to You", the theme song to the Paramount Pictures' film Andre. A music video for the song is included at the end of the movie."

I was not aware of this. Was she ever on PP? Did they write together? How exactly did they "work" together? She is CERTAINLY his type. I remember when she was out back in the day I saw her and thought, there's a "Prince girl" if I ever saw one. At one point, I did not think there was a light-skinned, curly-haired black woman in "the business" that Prince hadn't "worked with."

Yes,Tyler Collins worked with Prince. He actually signed her to Paisley Park Records in 1993 and she began working on an album, but the label shut down before her album could be released.

Prince met Tyler a few years earlier and even offered her a role in 'Graffiti Bridge'.She turned it down, saying she didn't want to become "just another Prince girl".He kept pursuing her and finally, she decided to join Paisley Park.Throughout 1993,she worked on her album. At one point,a rap group was brought in for one song. It's not known if Prince contributed anything, but it's very likely.

I think that if they (Warner Bros.) had given the label (Paisley Park) a little more attention, they could really have had many more hits out of the Purple One.
