nah..... Eric is in love with Eric. The way entertainers drop a love interest wife/girlfriend and pick up another in a short time is just amazing to me.

anyone check out the clip of him singing with his daughter? She's a big girl now with a great voice. I wonder if Halle sees her at all? that was the only thing about that break up that made me sad. Halle was that baby's mama, the only one she ever knew. I hope they still have a relationship. Eric's daughter, India is lovely and she does have a very nice voice. He has said that India does not have a relationship with Halle and that it is Halle's choice, not his and India's. It is unfortunate, but before and after Halle, there have been female members of his family, including his mother, who were/are instrumental in her rearing, along with his apparently being quite the "hands-on" daddy, who have gotten her to young adulthood. It is so important for a young girl to have her father's love and guidance. I
remember hearing about the trajic loss of his wife a few years ago. That broke my heart. How awful it must have been for both of them. It warms my heart that after the loss of her mother and all it took to get through it, she has grown up into a beautiful young lady and is able to share the stage singing with her father. That is so beautifully touching. Congratulations to Eric Bennet for being there for her. I read the interview about Eric and Manuela's romance posted a couple months ago. It seems as if India and Manuela have developed a nice friendship. That will be so important to nuture if they do decide to get married. I wish them and all families every happiness! Peace and love

Maybe Eric holding out "visitation" rights with his daughter for more spousal/child support payments really soured Halle on maintaining any contact with him. I always thought poorly of Eric during that divorce with Halle. Here is a woman who got a close attachment to your daugther and wanted to continue the relationship even after the divorce, and you or your representative (lawyer) uses that child as a bargaining chip for more money. It is bad when parents do this to one another during a divorce... I just can't believe the gall of some people to try this tactic when stepparents/stepchildren are involved. Didn't Halle adopt his daughter? "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

I'm sure Eric Benet doesn't need me to step to his defense on this matter, but where is the information that he used his daughter as a "bargaining chip" in the divorce? As I said in my earlier post, HE has said that it is not his nor his daughter's choice for her not to be in contact with Halle. There was no child support issue when they divorced. Halle never adopted India, period!! They did seem to have a close relationship, but what probably soured Halle was that her relationship with India's father ended. That's how it is sometimes. All I know is that his relationship with his daughter is strong and the two of them (as well as Halle) have moved on, so I don't understand why we (including me) are still discussing it as if it has anything to do with their lives/careers or anything else today. Never trust anything spoken in the presence of an erection.

And I think India is at a place where she can surely survive quite well without Halle. Clearly she and Halle had a relationship when she was married to her father, but she was fine before and, from all indications, she's fine now. But looking at your last link, it seems people have been saying all the long that Halle did not complete adoption proceedings. But I thought I read that Eric was using child visitation rights as a bargaining chip when trying to overturn the prenup during their divorce negotiations.
