Dr FB interviewed Nikka Costa and in the interview, she talks about Prince and how she met him.

DocFB: Our first introduction to you was live at Prince’s Paisley Park Studios. How did that come about?

Nikka: He actually wrote on his web page something like Nikka come to the park and play with us and I guess my people got in touch with his people and responded to the email and invited us out to play at a celebration and I did not even know he knew who I was or liked my music or anything and I thought he was like behind some mirror or curtain like the wizard. (laughs) No. He looked great. He was at our soundcheck and he gave me a tour of Paisley and it was completely surreal and amazing and he has been incredibly supportive and we have been friends ever since.


The interview as a whole is very good too. It's always great to see Prince get props.
