Morris Day and the Time in Dallas 9_12_2008 Hi ALL!
I was in attendance last night along with thousands of other fans to see the electrifying Morris Day and the Time concert at the Nokia Theater in Dallas, TX. First off, it was an INCREDIBLE Show! The hits, fan favs and classic album cuts were all represented in perfection and groove. The entire audience was in amazement to see Morris still lighting up the stage with his persona and showmanship. And after just one glance you could see that he hasn't lost it. The Time jammed Pandemonium, Skillet, Chocolate, Jerk Out, Cool, The Stick, The Walk, 777-9311, Jungle Love, The Bird, Oak Tree, Fishnet and even a fantastic medley of Girl/Gigolos Get Lonely Too. During an encore of the famous "Bird" jam, I was one of the lucky few that were able to go on stage and dance in Morris' entourage. As you can see below, here's just some of the few shots I was able to take with my iPhone. After the show, my fiance and I went backstage to hang with the Time. We meet everyone and I must say...they are beyond "C-O-O-L". Monte Moir and Jellybean Johnson are top notch guys, gracious, smooth and fun! Morris was...well as you might think, a riot. I was able to do an interview with Time guitarist and front man of the hella-funk "Freak Juice" Tori Ruffin backstage. Check out Emancipation Radio all week to here the interview done live backstage from Dallas. Also, we were able to meet and make some great NEW Friends from Fort Worth, Texas to Tiki Central Live and Emancipation Radio. So purple shout outs got to Kevin, Kim, Curvy and Sheka! You guys were outstanding and we look forward to future gatherings! Thanks to The Time and all the fans! We had a great time. And if you are in the Tulsa, OK area check out Tori Ruffin and Freak Juice LIVE in concert 9/20 for one heck of a mind blowing show. "WHAT TIME IS IT?" [Edited 9/14/08 13:52pm] Dad. Cartoonist. So are they done in Vegas? Are they touring? If so, I hope they come to Chicago because I will certainly check them out. That set list is awesome! perfection is a fallacy of the imagination...

Vegas is done as of right now. The show in Minneapolis was the only other show with the original line up. The touring version played the Dallas show and all other dates for the rest of the year as of right now are that version.

Ain't this a bitch? (pardon my language)
I had no idea that The Time had come to Texas! Oh man! I would have gone to see him. And it sounded like it was a great show too! Dang, and Morris was looking sharp as a tack too. Boy I'm miffed! I truly hate I missed that! Gosh! I love a Man who:

I almost went to this show, but I couldn't justify it since I went to the last show in Vegas last month with the original lineup. I figured this woulda paled in comparison. But I'm glad ya'll had a good time.
