My sister forwarded me an email with tons of music download links yesterday. One of the downloads was for a various artist CD titled "New Soul Woman". I scanned the list of artist and saw Ashley Ta'mar. I recalled that Ta'mar's first name is actually Ashley, so I kind of figured it was her. I downloaded the mp3 and sure enough it was her.

The song she's singing is titled "You Remind Me". She sounds nice, but the song is nothing special. It sounds like a rehash of one of Mary J Blige's songs.

Google "New Woman Soul" and tons of download links will come up. Her song on is the first song on the 2nd CD.

I wonder if she is changing her professional name to Ashley Ta'mar...

Marva King is also one of the various artist.
