Had This one 4 a while now. One of the best songs on the movie! everybody I knew back then looked 4 this cut but couldn't find it cause it didn't release back then. A shame 2, cause it was way better than Dance Electric! That my opinion!

I have ALWAYS wanted this song!! I think it's great. I also think it would have been a hit in '84.

This track always makes me think of that scene in the film where this song is played. I always see Jerome's smiling ass standing at the bar and the crowd doing that dip dance they were doing in unison. And I can't leave out my man in Dez's band. U know that motherfucker in the red suit next to Dez who was having a straight seizure while he was playing. I laugh hard as hell everytime I see that cat. I'm always like "What in the fuck is homeboy supposed to be doing?!"

Interesting guitar effects. The keyboards are also without boundries at times. To me, this was a strange musical tangent for Prince. I could say he should try more boldness, but I guess it depends on his collaborator?

Don't believe what it says in Wikipedia. Those chart numbers are wrong. I'll look in my Billboard books when I get home, but I know for sure that "Sex Shooter" didn't even break the top 20 on the R&B chart. #85 on the Hot 100 sounds correct, though.

I downloaded the Dez Dickerson Original version from www.bleep.com. It's great to finally get this track, but I would probably have appreciated it even more 24 years ago. (Gosh, has it been that long already?)
