I just fucked up this post, but I actually meant to respond to the one that adressed asking this woman what she feels about Prince's beliefs. This is what I was thinking:

If one would be contacting her to get "the word" as it were, why on EARTH would a person ask someone about a former love relationship and their ex lover's religious choices? It has very little to do with being ministered about your own quest for religion or spirituality.

What's wrong with asking about her take on Prince's conversion to JW? I mean if you've already acknowledged being a fan of hers back when she was Vanity then you've already admitted your fascination with the whole Prince thing and opened the door for some bit of discussion no matter how small. She's been asked before. Perhaps one would want to know about her faith in comparison to his. I think she can handle anything. Strong woman she is. yes

Besides, she just might say that everyone's calling is different and she won't judge him but wishes him well shrug

I just don't want anyone judging or putting me down because I happen to have different beliefs. It often comes across as very condescending when some people point a finger and say that you are a heathen unless you believe in a certain thing. These ministers often have problems themselves and try to elevate themselves up and beyond so that they won't be judged. They come off as the 'good person', and everyone else is 'bad'.

I find it all too confining and strangling and the world is so much bigger than all of that. So I can accept your beliefs, and I expect respect for mine.

I would read the book, but if I want a sermon I'll go and get one. If the book contains all of that, then that is a part of her, so if you want to know her, you have to tolerate it in the book.

It will be interesting to see what happens with all of this, and if it actually comes out.

Wonder if she's been reading this forum....everyone was saying how stupid the price was.
