just wondering if anyone knew whatever happened to sour the relationship.why was the album cancelled?

btw ...lyrics to "ICE COLD" sound like they could be directed to or inspired by

I think Prince let her go.She seemed pretty sad about it but was accepting the turn of events.It was very odd how it all happened around the Mani divorce...
She has since been working with the producer Kwame and was featured in Tyler Perry's play, "The Marriage Counselor".

i don't know for sure what happened, but tamar seemed to handle it professionally and she moved on to other projects - good for her.

I like her album. It's a nice little side project. But it also seems to have stepped right out of the '90s. The updated version of "2 the 9s" on there reminds me of the redo of "Cream" on Carmen's album.

I agree with Anx that she has handled everything really professionally. I have a lot of respect for that.

I like it, it is not bad at all.... Redhead Stepchild alone is worth getting this CD !!

When one party files for divorce and the other is seen spending considerable time with someone of the opposite sex, people point fingers. The rumors were already out there and Prince has been around long enough to know that once the divorce went public, people would see Tamar as the reason for the split (even if it wasn't true). So maybe we was acting as the good mentor and just walked away to save her from all the negative attention.

Her seeming all broken up about the the whole ordeal and the songs that came afterwards say differently. Especially the way people are sayin she was lookin all depressed in Vegas. he definitely left her, that much iknow to be fact. she harrassed one of his ppl constantly trying to get to him. theyve seen each other a few times since the TylerPerry show but I dont have any more details than that. Tamar aint actually very well liked and she treated his staff like they were hers, and not in a goodway. this is from an old staff source around in that time so take it for what its worth.

Perhaps your on point and have the inside scoop. Let’s be honest if you (Tamar) become known as the other woman in a divorce case that type of think can follow you around for the rest of your career so going their separate ways might have been for the best.

The Tamar CD is out on the net and one of the cuts” Kept Woman” really makes me wonder if P wanted a divorce.

Tamar actually is a song writer.I think she went to school 4 it and everything. I think Prince actually bought BL&B from her.
