I've been listening to Cool...by The Time...like over and over and over...and I thought about Jerome...and then I thought about the lyrics...Penthouse in Manhattan, two more in Malibu...and I thought, this guys just...COOL.

Then I think, okay, I saw this one pic of Puff walking on the beach with a valet holding an umbrella over him...to protect him from the sun...and I thought...now that was staged...and I also thought how pretentiously unoriginal that was and how people think he's "cool".

So let me ask all my funky peeps...

Who's really...I mean REALLY cool?

I think of Morris Day as the Black David Lee Roth in that in hsi Right Element everything was Cool.the EGO Personna&Attitude were cool in the Right Eniviroment.Puffy is a Sharp Dresser&a Talent Scout but that's all.He has no Real Personna IMHO.Lucky more than Good.Puffy has a Outer Cool but He isn't sharp as a Human Being IMHO.Morris is down too earth Cat&Just flows.they are Cool in different ways.but Morris shared the Spotlight with Jerome Benton.Puffy shares it with no one that alone ends the Comparrison IMHO.

puff couldn't be compared to morris on puffy's best day and on morris' worst. "hi i'm puff daddy, i lack such creativity i have to take old hit songs, poach off them and claim it as a new hit." thank you no.

You're right! Morris + Jerome = da pimp sandwich. Remember the scene in Purple Rain with them pulling their sunglasses out in the club? That look they gave each other...priceless.
By the way, Mr. Combs said on MTV Diary he wanted to be the modern Morris Day and his butler (F.J.Bentley I think) was supposed to be his Jerome. Now who's trying to be cool ? He gave himself away. :LOL:

Obviously Sean "Puffy" Combs isn't cool at all and I think Morris was just plain silly-cute but silly. But out of the two choices given I would say Morris.

Without a question. MD is by far the coolest. Puff is alright, but MD is the image of cool. How can you not say that Morris is cool. How many people you know could talk trash on a whole song " The Kid can't make you come "? or Sing a song and order a meal, while on stage and then sit down to eat a bite ( Saturday Night Live, 91? ) I mean the man is Cool...Go MD!!
