everybody you listed certainly qualify, but even though i love him to death hands down it has to be Jerome Benton.

I mean he was in The Family because of.....

The band was pretty much defunct by the time shooting for the movie started. But yes, I'm sure Jerome was always slated to co-star during the film's conception phase. Jerome was also being courted by Hollywood at this time. Prince probably gave him a gig with The Family to keep him jumping ship on Under the Cherry Moon.
Plus, I think he just liked Jerome and wanted to put some money in his pocket. ::

to be honest most of Ps females have been fairly talentless. He had a great art for picking good looking women and making something of them when in reality they would never have come to the fore. He has a whole army of talentless people who are now rich and famous because of him.

I still find it at odds how the guy can talk about real musicians when it was he who championed the fabricated band.

I'm a Jerome FAN. I get what he did for the Time and i don't ever want to see them without him on stage.

HOWEVER, in the Family there was really NO reason for him to be there.

He can't sing.
He can't play an instrument.
And contrary to Prince throwing him fake writer's credits, he can't write.
He can act, IN PRINCE MOVIES.

Sorry, outside of the Time he'd have to be the least talented one.

And Bobby Z was a cool drummer. Bobby Z programmed that Linn drum machine on the 24th hr before the "Purple Rain" tour started..(P supposedly gave it to him the day before and said "figure it out").
