"I'm into Reese's girls, not Baby Ruth's"...

From the totally overlooked (outside of Prince fandom) band known as Mazarati, here's the quirky ditty known as Suzy:

Z, I think I remember you mentioning you didn't care much for this song. How could you not!? Despite it's out there theme, Brownmark's funk is so stank on it!

By the way, what's the meaning of the titled line? lol

I had no idea that was the lyric. Wow. You just blew my mind.

I love the song. It's a great funk response to "Lola." Lyrically, it's as silly as they come and makes little, if any, sense. But I think that just makes me love it more.

One more thing: Terry's way of singing "Owwww!" was just awesome. Great in this song and elsewhere on the album.

Thanks, I try. lol

I'm in total agreeance though. Sir Terry's lack of a trained singing voice makes the tracks just that more interesting. He more than made up for what wasn't there with his funky charisma and outlandish adlibs as the one you pointed out.

I so picture Suzy looking like Wanda from In Livin' Color. falloff

Well, I love Baby Ruths but I wouldn't like one either if it was dressed up and disguised as Reese's girl. I may be gay but I'm not a sick pervert. lol

Anyway, great jam. biggrin

That's the best jam on the entire album. Much better than anything Prince had done that year.
