Anymore news about The Time's new album? Have they mentioned anything at their Vegas shows or the meet and greets????

I would too but only if they realize that we as Time fans all got a little older and more mature since 1990. Concepts and party songs (The Bird, Cool) are great but how about a concept called "great soul music"? The one song I heard in Vegas called See Thru was a concept type party song that did not move me. If The Time did a new album - it should only be done with these guys actually throwing their best individual tunes into the group skillet. The album should show off their musical chops. I would build songs around Terry's basslines. ...have some BLUES with Jesse and a couple signature Jam & Lewis slow jams. Jellybean has that rock n roll thing so I would expect some of that. Monte is a soulful songwriter. Don't try to rap. Don't use any DJ beats. DO give us as many Morris and Jerome ad-libs as you can. And DO understand that your audience is willing to grow with you. Its going to be more of an evolution from Pandemonium and less like the earlier albums.Probably more guitar and lots of Monte. Its probably actually done or almost done by now, but thats just a guess from what I heard a few weeks ago. I don't have any new or concrete info. | |
