ROBIN POWER'S BASS PLAYER IN A DOCUMENTARY ABOUT BEAUTY Hi Everyone,
Robin Power's bass player Joni is interviewed in my documentary "Beauty: In the Eyes of the Beheld," a film about what it is REALLY like to be a beautiful woman. Here is a link to the trailer. http://www.youtube.com/wa...xVqF8Ub0kQ Joni is the woman who describes herself as "insecure." In the film, she talks about her experiences working with Prince and Robin Power. She also talks about other aspects of her life in regards to physical beauty. So far, the film is in the festival circuit. Depending on what happens there, we will be airing or selling the film in a few months. Just keep an eye out for it. It's webpage www.beautydocumentary.com will be up soon. [Edited 6/9/08 11:09am] The blessings and curses of being beautiful - a documentary

Thanks, Blaque!
p4life: My mother was a beautiful, talented pianist and violinist and father was a pianist who fell in love at first sight. Music was always part of family life, especially when Mom and Dad played music together. Mom taught me piano and violin at a young age. I started arranging and composing music as an adolescent and it went on from there. Mom liked Elvis, bluegrass, jazz, rock, pop, as well as the classical stuff. When I was two years old, the Beatles invaded the US and I have always been a big Beatles fan. I own a lot of Enya albums and love Prince music too. So my tastes are varied, as is my music composition. I feel like today's music produced by the established record industry is in a creative rut. I've lost interest in it for now. Rap is cool - it still has interesting things going on, but the record industry watered it down. I am good friends with Joni (Bassdame) and Alisa the singer. Robin and I are not on speaking terms right now but we can be in contact if necessary. Well, at least she doesn't seem to be responding to my posts. I am not close with Tracy the guitarist but I have her contact info. I don't think getting the band together is a good idea. I think Robin's music is as creative as her art, but realize that it is hard for some to appreciate it. It isn't for everyone, but it's creative to me.
