Man, I've talked about this song on here so many times, I think I've made folks sick of it. I'll say this about it; Besides it being a great song, this was originally intended for P's own second album. But he replaced it with "With You". The version that's on The Time's album is exactly the same version except for Morris's vocal is on top. U can hear P's vocals clear as a bell though. I love the little section where P's humming the piano melody that leads up to the "breakdown" section. Anf the end is climatic, like a musical orgasam. P did that a lot during that period. Do Me Baby, International Lover, Oh Baby, etc. The way the songs ends all represent an orgasam, musically. A climax.

nammie "What BGZ says I believe. I have the biggest crush on him."

Just goes to show where Prince's music was at in 79 or God knows when Prince actually wrote this song. I've tried to tell folks on here in the past but people are so damn hard headed...Just because a cat releases a song in 1980 doesn't mean that he wrote it in 1980. Or just because u have a date when someone went in the studio to record a song in 1982 doesn't mean that he WROTE it in 82. He easily could have written it 3 years before. People, besides other songwriters, don't ever want to believe that. No telling when Prince actually wrote Oh Baby. To know that it was going on Prince's second album and then at the last minute, he switched it for With You. I would love to hear Prince's lead vocal on this, like he would have released it on his album. Cuz this is one of the coolest cuts on The Time's album. Cool ass lyrics too.
