...Carmen..... Ok...at the risk of being ridiculed beyond my wildest dreams...I have to say that one of my favorite "other artists" is Carmen Electra.
I love her album...I can't defend it...but, I love it. And, seriously....very HOT woman! Mazarati's 1st album has always been a FAVORITE as well. Back to Carmen....at least she was a 'musician' before becoming an 'actor' instead of the opposite like so many jackasses in the world!

I won't ridicule you for liking the album; I like some of it too, especially "Get on Up." But I will ridicule you for calling her a "musician."

She was a cheerleader before becoming an actress, not a musician... she called her cheering "dancing". Now she's a good pole dancer, and a good spokeswoman in commercials for bubblegum. She has a great sense of humor though. She should really focus on doing lots of slap-stick comedy.

i am trying to figure that out for myself too. There are a few tracks on her album that are very catchy. Maybe it is that she is so hot, but it isn't nearly as bad as it's reputation.
Back in the days of GLAM SLAM LA, Carmen used to hang out there and I remember her more than once stopping at our table and sitting down and chatting with us. She was very sweet and open during that time. She was also the star of the show that was performed there, GLAM SLAM ULYSSES. The show was terrible, but it was fun hanging out with Carmen during that time. She was also very sweet to those of us backstage at the FAMILY JAMM show back in 2003. The expanded version of my book PRINCE and The Purple Rain Era Studio Sessions 1983-1984 was released in November 2018. I still play "everybody get on up" sometimes aswell. Thats the best song on there for me by a long shot. I play a few other cuts sometimes. "Fantasia erotica" "go go dancer" (which sounds somewhat like "thunder"), even the duet with Tony M "S.T" if Iam feeling really reckless. I also liked her outtakes. "power from above" and "the juice" shoulda made the album as I love those tracks.. Even "carmen on top" was quite good.
