NONA GAYE - NONA STILL BITTER ABOUT PRINCE BETRAYAL

Actress NONA GAYE will never forgive PRINCE for the way he broke her heart when she was a smitten teenager.

The pop superstar was 16 years older than MARVIN GAYE's daughter when he told mutual friends the two were to wed, but he then proposed to his future wife MAYTE - and added to Gaye's pain with a diamond display at a New York concert.

The actress recalls, "I never really knew him, and I never let him really know me. I tried to be this woman I thought he wanted - very passive, letting him lead.

"He told a friend of mine he was going to marry me and take care of me. I knew I wouldn't get anything better than that from him, so I believed it.

"After that we were in New York, and he asked me to come see his show. Mayte, one of his dancers, flashed the engagement ring he'd given her from the stage.

"When I asked him about it afterwards, he was very evasive and defensive. I haven't spoken to him since. It upsets me that we ended things that way, because at one point he was really, really important to me."



What's is up with those two?

From what I know shes not bitter about it anymore.Those statements are madd old and shes had a son since and in an interview said she forgave him.Im pretty sure shes pass it.

Prince was quite a playa back then In 1988,he was engaged to Sheila E. but she broke up with him because "he had too many other women hanging around".Vanity explained why she left Prince: "I needed one person to love me,but Prince needed more".I think Prince got a real kick out of juggling his women around....playing with their emotions and confusing them...making them compete with each other for his affection.I think all of this caught Nona off guard.The other ladies knew what he was like,lol.

Hey Prince always ran his women together, he was stl Married to Mayte when he started messing with Manuela, his secretary. He's a man, men do shit like that. He knows now that payback is a Bitch.

I don’t go to the Prince M&M forum much, but I wonder if there was ever a thread about Prince’s love/hate interest with marriage in general. It’s been mentioned in so many of his songs throughout his career, even to this day. He’s offered to settle down with God knows how many women, and has twice divorced already. I know that’s not uncommon in show business, but I’ve always wondered if Prince really and truly wants a genuine and lasting marriage, or if he’s intentionally trivializing marriage, rebelling in a sense because of his childhood issues with his parents’ marriage(s).

Dah well…my own marriage sucks. Let me quit pondering about Prince’s issues and deal with my own.
